Semester Conferences
We look forward to having time to sit and talk with all certified staff members beginning this week! We will look at data and hear about plans for the Spring Semester. Please see the schedule here and let us know if you have a scheduling conflict ASAP. An agenda for our time together is included below the schedule.
Middle of the Year PDP - BEFORE your semester conference, please go in and update your mid year PDP.
Click on PDP Mid Year Review and fill in the box that says Evidence of Progress towards specific standards.
We will discuss specifics regarding progress at your semester conference or any upcoming post conference as needed.
Please save this work but do not finalize or mark complete until we review it at an upcoming post conference or semester conference.
Self Care Challenge: Wow! We are only around 80 paws away from a group prize for taking care of ourselves!!!! Keep taking care of yourselves Jaguars and coloring in paws to show us how you are incorporating self care into your lives!
Quarterly Collaborations: Here is the schedule for the upcoming quarterly collaboration dates. You may want to discuss with your PLC what unit you would like to work on during this time.
Praise Walks: Praise Walks have started! There are so many great things happening in classrooms daily and we want everyone to have a chance to see them and steal any ideas! We are looking to raise the praise and will work hard to not be disruptive! If your grade level has not yet chosen a date to have your praise walk, please add it to your PLC agendas to discuss. Please notice the scheduled praise walks below so you are not caught off guard when your colleagues come into your room:
Tuesday, February 11 -- 5th Grade Praise Walks from 8:10 - 9:00 AM
Thursday, February 13 -- 3rd Grade Praise Walks from 9:15 - 10:05 AM

Thank you to the car rider team (not all pictured) that braved sideways rain! : )
Curriculum Updates:
Patterns of Power: Here is a great video by Adrian Mynor, a third grade teacher from JS Waters, showing how the “Invitation to Notice” component from Patterns of Power can look. Her lesson took 6 minutes and 39 seconds! It really can be a very quick and powerful part of your ELA block. K-2 teachers, Mandy has your books if you’d like to take a look at the program. You will be trained later in the year.
Digital CEUs: If you are looking to earn digital ceus or are interested in learning more about the Triple E framework in order to better participate in the Digital Learning Dayz, there are now three Canvas courses just for you! The courses should take around 5-hours to complete (Novice 1 hour, Intermediate 1 hour, Advanced 3 hours). It is strongly recommended that teachers new to the Triple E Framework go through the full sequence so they will have the background necessary. As a result, if people complete all three courses, they will be eligible for .5 CEUs. Here is how to join the classes:
Click the link below or copy and paste it into your search bar. You should start with the Novice course first.
Intermediate: https://chatham.instructure.com/enroll/MT9W4H
Advanced: . https://chatham.instructure.com/enroll/E39KAK
From that link you will log into your Canvas account, which is your Google account.
Click “Go to the course” on the home page
You will now be enrolled in the course.
When you finish the novice course, then join the intermediate course by following the same steps as above.
Repeat for Advanced!

You can earn .3 or .5 CEUS for your participation.
