How have the Habits helped you?
Last Month we revisited the 7 (8) Habits and asked you to click on the links in the newsletter to learn how they can be used at home.
This month, I would like to build on that.
Please respond to this email and list the ways the 7 Habits have helped you stay on track during the COVID-19 Quarantine.
If you need a refresher or the links again, I am providing them below!
I can't wait to see your replies!
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People are:
- Habit 1: Be Proactive (You’re in Charge)
- Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind (Have a Plan)
- Habit 3: Put First Things First (Work First, Then Play)
- Habit 4: Think Win-Win (Everyone Can Win)
- Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood(Listen Before You Talk)
- Habit 6: Synergize (Together Is Better)
- Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw (Balance Feels Best)
- Habit 8: Find your Voice
Click on the links below to learn more about the 7 Habits and how they can be used at home to build a culture of effectiveness.
It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Mr. Michael passed away on April 17, 2020. We are so saddened by his sudden passing and our hearts go out to his family at this time.
He will forever be in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Mr. Carroll & Mrs. Morrison
Principals for Texas Leadership Arlington
Mr. Ledbetter has this to say about Mr. Michael:
Mr. Warren was a true gentleman. His presence on campus no matter the time of day, or the job at hand, shed a light of kindness and respect for all those he greeted. God’s word tells us we should bear fruits of the spirit. He did that at the highest level. I am saddened that I’ll not be able to express my gratitude or respect to him in person for the love and respect he gave to me or that he gave to his job. I knew him only a few years, but he left a lasting imprint of friendship and integrity on me that will not be forgotten.
If you would like to share some of your favorite memories about Mr. Michael, please go to our Facebook page and post them. His family is following the post and has given them many reasons to smile during this difficult time.
TEA COVID-19 Update
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your Leader's teacher. We will be happy to help!
COVID-19 Summer Slide and Continuing Instruction
This summer, Educators are expecting that there may be a greater Summer slide (up to a year behind) due to the lack of instruction through the end of the year. I am including a NWEA link about Summer Slide. The Khan Academy link below can help tremendously when students have at least 45 minutes a week of continued instruction in Math and Reading. Our goal is to have our Leaders continue to read and practice math throughout the Summer. Our Texas Leadership Students will still have access to their Clever accounts as well. Please encourage them to continue to practice during the Summer. We want to give them every opportunity to grow and be successful in the 2020-2021 school year.

Guess Who?
Our High School Athletes were surprised on April 28th with a special guest on their Zoom call. Guess Who beat them on a game of Kahoot?
It was a fun surprise to say the least!
Thank you, Coach Beaver for sharing this fun news!
Open Enrollment is LIVE!!!
We would love the opportunity to serve them and tell them why Texas Leadership could be the right choice for them!
Leader of the Month
William is always kind and respectful. He comes to school energized and ready to learn. He is a great representation of what it means to be a leader!
Way to go, William!
May 4-8th is Teacher Appreciation Week!
We love to show our teachers how much they mean to us every year and how grateful we are to them for all they do and the countless sleepless nights that they have had over our children this past year. This year is a little different, but we still want to shower them with the APPRECIATION they deserve.
