The Riebli Record
February 5, 2021
A note from Mrs. Todd
As we continue to plan our moving into the Hybrid model there are several points that we would like to share with you. The guidelines for returning to school were changed by the Governor on January 14th. Return to school will happen when:
For elementary schools (TK-6) Sonoma County has an identified COVID - 19 case rate below 25 individuals per 100,000 people as established by the Reopening In-Person Instructional Framework & Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools in California and must be maintained over a five day period.
Middle School (MWCS) students will not return to Hybrid unless the rate drops below 7 individuals per 100,000 people rate and must be maintained over a five day period.
While some conditions are beyond the control of MWUSD, we are in regular communication with the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) who has taken the lead on monitoring the County’s infection rate. You can view current case numbers on the Sonoma County Coronavirus Dashboard. In addition, MWUSD is working with the Sonoma County Office of Education and SCOE’s COVID-19 Coordinator, Jeff Harding, to ensure a smooth roll-out of vaccine availability to staff. SCOE has a vaccination website that provides information on the school staff vaccination program. In the entire county, nearly 20,000 employees will be vaccinated under the direction of SCOE.
Please keep in mind that:
Students may or may not have the same teacher that they currently have whether you chose Distance Learning or Hybrid Learning.
Per the California Department of Health Guidelines, if two classrooms test positive for COVID at the same time, the school will revert to Distance
Learning, and if one school makes that move, all schools in the district will revert as well.
Return to School Plan in detail is located on your school’s website: COVID-19 Information
Within the next few weeks your Elementary Principal will be posting Hybrid cohort and teacher assignments by student number on the school website. Students remaining in Distance Learning will also be posted by student number and teacher. You will receive an email from the Principal when the lists are posted.
We recognize that this has been a very trying time for students, families and school staff. We appreciate your patience and support as we move forward. Know that we will keep you informed as the process evolves.
Riebli PTA is super excited to announce our newest fundraiser for this year! As we have all been spending a lot of time at home and getting creative in the kitchen, we thought it would be fun to share recipes with one another and with our loved ones.
We are hoping to have these recipe books ready for sale before Mother's day.
Attached to this email is an interactive recipe card. Please fill it out and submit a recipe (max. 3 recipes per family)
Send to Melanie @ Melli7@aol.com by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 12, 2021
We will then submit them to the company. Please put your child's name and grade (and/or your name/family name if you want too) as your recipe contributor will be at the bottom of the recipe card. The names you provide us with will be included in the cookbook.
Please email Melanie by February 12, 2021 in order to be included. We need a minimum of 75 recipes and 75 orders.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Melanie or Alex. We appreciate your continued support and can't wait to publish this book for the Riebli Community.
