Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
September 30th, 2022
We had a short, but wonderful week at the Lab!
On Tuesday, we had a wonderful surprise from our partners at Old Navy. Their team of associates and managers collected a wealth of school supplies that they delivered to us. You can see in the picture below how excited and fortunate we are to have great partners supporting us like this. If you're shopping at Old Navy and want to share you're an LL parent and grateful for their partnership -- that would be great!
Thursday, many of our dedicated teachers chose to school an hour early for professional learning with the ELA Office to continuously improve our reading instruction. We're so fortunate to have such a committed group of teachers!
Thursday evening was one of the marquee events of our year -- Food Truck Night! We had a blast! It was a joy to see so many of our Leopard Families out in community. Thank you to all who came out and to our PTA for their hard work in organizing the event! We're already looking forward to Spring Food Truck Night. Don't miss it! :)
Returning from Food Truck Night, the sunset on the horizon as I returned to campus was simply phenomenal -- it's beauty matched only by our school family. I had to just capture it and share!
We have so much to look forward to in October!
- We're launching a Food Drive benefiting the Baltimore Hunger Project. See more information below.
- We have our Family Fun Night on Tuesday October 11th! We'll have a great multi-cultural fair, animal exhibits from Marshy Point Nature Center, musical performances, an art display, learning games, give-aways, prizes, and more!
- We have a wealth of fun Spirit Days and Spirit Week coming up this month (more below).
- Fall Picture Day is on October 26th.
Calendar reminder: Please note that BCPS Schools are closed for students on October 5th, 21st and 24th.
Have a wonderful weekend!
In Partnership,

October Food Drive!
Did you know that one-third of the people served by emergency food programs are children? We need you to help these hungry children have a good meal, so they can learn. This will help students have an opportunity to learn about hunger and help other children in need.
From Monday October 3rd -October 31st, Lutherville Lab will be collecting non-perishables to support the Baltimore Hunger Project. Please send in: Canned tuna and chicken, granola bars (crunchy or chewy), protein bars, single-serve cereal boxes, fruit snacks(single serving pouches), applesauce pouches (no cups, please), and juice boxes.
Collected items can be brought to tables that will be setup in the hallway near the cafeteria. There are attached documents related to the food drive. Thank you in advance for your support!
