Students explore evolution of computing
Singing Hills and Running Creek Elementary 3rd through 5th grade gifted and talented students had the opportunity to attend an Art & History of Computing workshop.
The workshop was organized by STEM Activities Coordinator Susan McMullen and covered the major developments in world computing starting with a 20,000-year-old baboon fibula and ending with Quantum computing. The program was filled with hands-on activities with vintage computing machines and artifacts.
Schools pay tribute to veterans in many ways
Veterans Day programs and recognition continued this week. Running Creek Elementary honored veterans with a special celebration and breakfast and Frontier High School students served veterans at their appreciation breakfast on Monday.
Tribute videos for district employees who served in the military were shared on the district's Facebook page. The videos can be viewed on the Elizabeth School District YouTube channel.
National Early Signing
Congratulations to our four Elizabeth High School athletes who signed letters of intent to compete at the college level during National Early Signing!

EMS Softball
Elizabeth Middle School's girls softball team won the North Peak Athletic Conference (NPAC) Softball Championship!
The EMS softball team included 15 girls in 7th and 8th-grades. During the tournament, the girls had to win three games in a row to become the champions, which they accomplished with class and heart.
