A Message from Mr. Veronie...
I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to the Tuscarora Community and tell a bit about myself. I am John Veronie and I will serve as one of the Assistant Principals of Tuscarora Elementary School this upcoming school year. I have been an Assistant Principal in FCPS for the past 10 years and prior to that I taught fourth and fifth grade students.
A core belief of mine is that all students deserve an amazing education as it is the foundation to becoming a productive adult in our society. I celebrate small victories along the way and focus on growth, perseverance and positive mindset. I push myself to be better every day and I love big challenges.
My wife and I are blessed to have two amazing children, both of whom are currently in FCPS Elementary Schools. In my free time I coach youth baseball and I enjoy movies and music.
I am looking forward to this school year and am excited to meet all of you!
The Tuscarora Elementary School (TuES) PTA is excited to announce that their new website is now live! http://tuespta.com/
The site has a calendar of events which includes Frederick County School notifications that pertain to TuES. The website will allow Tuscarora families, teachers, and the local community to stay current with PTA sponsored activities and events throughout the school year.
The website contains our mission, downloadable membership forms, calendar of events, membership payment options, committee descriptions and so much more.It is a work in progress, but parents can signup for 2018/2019 PTA right away and can pay online or download the form to pay by check. We are also setup to take donations. We would like to thank our volunteer web designer, Billie Jackson, for donating her time and talent.
A big thank you goes out to Ryan Stein of Stein Studios (http://www.steinstudios.net/) for volunteering to do a photo shoot with some of our TuES kids. Linton at Ballenger HOA offered up their clubhouse Community Room for the photo shoot so a big thank you to Darren Crandell. Please enjoy this sneak peek and forgive our dust.

Find Out First!
Stay informed: Parent/Guardian email addresses provided to our school via your child’s Student Information Card are entered into the FCPS Student Information System and uploaded to the FCPS FindOutFirst service to receive school and system-level email messages such as when schools are closing unexpectedly due to inclement weather or other emergencies. Your FindOutFirst (FOF) record will automatically reflect your child’s school and grade level. From FOF you will receive instructions about how to log in to add a mobile phone number to get emergency-closing text messages. You will also receive instructions about how to sign up for system-level email such as calendar updates, newsletters, BOE action and more. If you change your email address during the school year, notify our school office so you will continue to get FOF emergency notices.
