Friday, May 21 there is No School for Early Childhood through Eighth-Grade (Teacher Remote Planning Day - originally a full day of school)
Wednesday, May 26 will be a Full Day of School for Early Childhood through Grade 8 (originally a half day of school and nonattendance day for early childhood students)
Thursday, June 3, Last Day of School for Early Childhood (Full Day)
Friday, June 4, Last Day of School for kindergarten through seventh-grade students (Watch for a change in learning schedule on this day)
- From 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 10, Principal Ann Hofmeier will host a remote Zoom meeting to explain the Sprague Kindergarten Program.
- Half Day is planning for a summer orientation for its incoming third-graders.
District News
D103 Seats a New School Board
The D103 Board of Education thanked Board Members Malathy Dwaraknath and Liang Yang for their years of service on the school board. Each member shared stories personal to them about the departing members.
Newcomers Maria Peterson and Michael Weaver, along with incumbents Kate Harper and Anne van Gerven, were sworn into office after being elected to four-year school board terms in April. Mrs. van Gerven was nominated and appointed to serve as board president for two years. Mrs. Harper was nominated and appointed to serve as board vice president for two years.
103 Club Accepting Campers
Camp 103 Club is open to all D103 students. There are still openings in the camp. Students do not need to be in summer school to attend camp. If your child is not in summer school, please drop your child off at Sprague at 12:15 p.m. for the start of camp. Please visit Camp 103 Club for more information.
Children do NOT need to participate in 103 Club during the school year to attend Camp 103 Club. Camp 103 Club operates after District 103 summer school hours and operates out of Sprague School. Parents will need to pick up from Camp 103 Club. Please email 103 Club Director Robynn Bryant at rbryant@d103.org for more information.
