Friday we have an on campus Community Time event. We will follow the on campus community time bell schedule and students will attend 6th hour. All 13th graders will report for 13 Sem at 12:10. See below for information on Tuesday's testing schedule.
Tuesday Testing
On Tuesday, October 25th, our 9th - 11th grade students will be taking the NMSQT/PSAT test. 12th and 13th grade students will not report to any scheduled high school classes on the 25th.
9th - 11th grade students will report for the day to H building no later than 7:50 AM. 9th graders will be finished at approximately 12:00 PM, 10th - 11th graders will be finished at approximately 1:00 PM and students with extended time could test until approximately 2:30 PM. Students with extended time will receive specific individual information regarding their end time.
Blessings in a Backpack Fundraiser
The West Bloomfield/Keego Harbor chapter of Blessings in a Backpack is hosting its annual Trivia Night Fundraiser on Friday, November 4th. Many of our families rely on school breakfast and lunch to feed their families throughout the week but school meals are not available when school is not in session. Blessings provides food to students over the weekends so no child goes hungry. If you cannot participate in the fundraiser, you can still donate. Please click here for more information.
Meeting with Mrs. Bellairs
All students must meet with Mrs. Bellairs before scheduling OCC Winter courses. Students can schedule an appointment with Mrs. Bellairs by clicking here. Registration for OCC Winter semester begins on October 26th.
NHS Tutoring
NHS Tutoring is starting the first week of December! Sponsored by NHS, OEC tutoring will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays during seminar period. Tutors specializing in the core subjects will be available in teachers' classrooms - Krauser: Social Studies and English; Wieland: English; Burkhart: Math and Science; Heffelbower: Math and Physics. Start the final marking period off on a positive note. Can't wait to see you there! Happy studying! (There will also be a list of tutoring available for appointments outside of seminar. Please see the list posted on the NHS board in Mrs. Krauser's room: H154.)
Quarter 1 Coming to a Close
It's hard to believe but we are almost done with the 1st quarter! The quarter officially ends on monday, October 31st.
Women's Self Defense Class
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is bringing their Women's Self Defense Awareness Training program to OEC. The event will run on Friday, November 18th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This is a half day for students but they will miss an hour of class. This is a free program for OEC students and their families. If you are interested in participating in this event, please click here to fill out a brief form to sign up and hold your spot.
