As always, if you have ANY questions or concerns, I am just a phone call, text, email, or hallway walk away!

Fun times at TCPL!
I love this fun and outrageous family event being offered by the Irving Arts Center on December 9th at 6:45 p.m. The performance is by a four member group called Recycled Percussion, and they are athletic, musical, funny and so very creative. They involve the audience and even sometimes entertain them while performing upside down! It is a must see event, and it is free! Don't miss this live event during the annual Holiday Open House. The Dallas Museum of Art is offering a workshop on December 10, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., entitled Material Mash-Up for kids and their parents, and the website describes the event as "For children ages 6–12 and their favorite grown-ups. Explore the galleries, engage in artful conversations, and try hands-on games as a family, then create a work of art in the studio. Taught by Museum Education staff. Class size is limited to twenty children. Adults do not need a ticket." https://goo.gl/2RVpqZ

The World of WebQuests - if you have never tried using a WebQuest, they are an exciting way for students to learn a new concept. If you have considered flipping your classroom or dipping your toes into a blended classroom, consider using a WebQuest as a way of mini-flipping in your classroom. At http://zunal.com/, you can create your own WebQuest based on the standard for the lesson that you are designing or, instead of inventing your own lesson from scratch, browse the multitude of lessons available and see if there is one that fills your curriculum needs. There are hundreds of ready-made WebQuests for K-12 in all subjects including fine arts, life skills, technology, language arts, social studies, etc. It is definitely worth your time to take a look! The WebQuests include links (check them first to make sure they are all working), rubrics, ideas, and much more.
Here is another website that I love and feel that it is just too good not to share. Maybe some of you you are already using it and if you are, good for you! If you aren't, check it out. Have you ever come across a webpage that you want to print out but you don't want all the accompanying misc. information on the page? Just copy and paste the URL address of that page into the printfriendly.com page and tada - there you have it a clean page to print out and it is just that simple. Love it, when it is just that easy and simple!
