Sumerians
Communication:
The Sumerians invented Cuneiform which was the earliest known writing system which consisted of symbols and marks on clay tablets. The Sumerians would write on clay then let the tablets dry. Cuneiform was originally invented for long-distance communication needed for trading. Later on Akkadian became the main spoken and writing language but it adopted some of the Sumerians words.
