Gators of the Week - Work hard. Get smart. Do good.

Gators of the Week: Mock Trial Wins and Qualifies for State

Work hard. This Saturday, the RB Mock Trial team competed in the Midlands Regional tournament against 17 other high schools. They had been working very hard over the past six months preparing for this event. Not only did they defeat their arch enemy and nemesis, Lexington, but they were one of only two teams to advance to the State competition being held in two weeks!

If you see any of these students, please congratulate them. But beware: they ALL displayed a fierce viciousness that made me feel sorry for their victims.

Gators of the Week: Clinical Students in Health Science Scrub in on Surgeries

Get Smart: Several Clinical Honors students have had the chance over the past three weeks to scrub in on surgeries for local physicians. Kacie Smiley this past week scrubbed in with Dr. Plymal in orthopedic surgery and Carolyn Wilund had the same opportunity a week ago. What an amazing way to be in the field learning first hand.

Gators of the Week: Media Arts Students Shine in Lip Dub

Do good. The entire school and especially the Media Arts students under the supervision of Ms. Cindy Esposito captured hours of content to produce RB's first lip dub. Friday's video in the gym was fitting example of the pride we all have in being Gators. Let your light shine and continue amazing work as Gators.

EL Design Principle in Action

You Decide?

Each week we have highlighted a student, group of students, teachers or staff members who have exhibited one of EL's 10 design principles. This week email Dr. Clamp at lclamp@lexington1.net a design principle you have seen in action to highlight in next week's Gator Bites.
