What's happening this week?
*If your child or any member of your immediate household is tested for COVID, please keep them home until you get the test results. Your help with this is greatly appreciated.
*This week is 3rd grade LEAP testing. We are so proud of our 3rd graders. They have learned SOOO much this year and we know they will be focused and do their best this week.
*We are ready for summer but still have important things to finish. Please help us to keep students focused and trying their best each day-it's not summer yet but it's getting closer!
*Please be sure that you are sending a water bottle with your child each day. We have water for refills but can't supply multiple bottles each week to students. Thank you for your help with this. We are having many students who do not have any water each day and it's getting warm.
*Beginning next year, we will be using the PowerSchool Parent Portal for all school forms. No more filling out papers and returning them at the beginning of the year. Yippee! If you have not created an account, we ask that you set up your account asap. You can do it on your phone or computer. Watch for notes going home with those who don't have accounts set up yet.
*This weather is getting warmer and we are thankful for some sunshine. Most students really don't need jackets outside and we need your help to remind them they don't need to wear them at PE or outside as the temps are rising. We don't need anyone to overheat.
*With warmer weather coming, please remember that skirts and shorts need to be no more than 4 inches above the knee. Many students have grown taller since the beginning of school so please be sure to check those skirts and shorts to be sure they're not too short.
*Dress code reminders: Jackets must fully zip from top to bottom (no hoodies that don't fully zip) and leggings must be navy, white, or gray. No patterns allowed. Shirts worn under uniform shirts must be white or navy.
*Be sure to write your child's name inside of their jackets. This helps if they misplace their jacket.
*Please check to be sure that your 3rd-5th grader has their mask each day. If they forget it and they ride on the bus, they don't get one until they get to school. We appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe.
*Please remember to check PowerSchool often as that is the best way to see current grades. Be sure that you are encouraging your student to do their best everyday. It is much easier to begin with good grades than it is to pull low grades up from incomplete or missing assignments.
*If you have not paid your student's supply fee, please pay it as soon as possible.
*If you have a new address and/or contact numbers, please call the office so we can be sure to get those updated.
*Be sure that you join the teacher and bus driver REMIND groups and follow our FB page and our school website.
*We are doing our part to get info out to you so please help us by sharing information and helping us reach all parents.

Attention Parents of 5th graders...
Thank you for sending these notes for our great staff!
Great job Mrs. KIm!
Jennifer Prestridge, 5th grade parent, sent this about Mrs. Kim.
Mrs. Kim has always been helpful to us since we moved to this school. She is always there to lend an ear when my kids are sick or need help. I don't know HOW she does it, but she is excellent at multi-tasking, and never complains or stops smiling. I'm glad to have known her. Thank you from our family, Mrs. Kim! We will sincerely miss you when my girls graduate this year.
We couldn't have said it any better! Mrs. Kim is the BEST and we are so thankful for everything that she does for our school.
Parents, want to send a staff shout out?
Round 2 applications will be accepted from May 1-May 16.
We will not have an in-person application day. This lets everyone have the same opportunity to get their applications in on the first round of applications. HAVE your documents ready now (Birth certificate, social security card, immunization records, 4 proofs of residency, proof of income) so that you are ready to get your application in as soon as the first round opens!
If you missed early Kindergarten registration, you can come in the summer to register. Watch our FB page to see the dates in July we will begin registering.
Bus Driver Remind Codes
Please join the REMIND group for your child's bus driver. This is a great way to communicate with your driver. Please remember that they are not allowed to reply during routes and will reply before or after their routes. Text the code for your child's bus to 81010 to join their REMIND group.
