Quizalize
Okeechobee County School District has agreed to participate in a trial of the ZzishHub Premium product. Zzish is the creator of the Quizalize formative assessment platform. This trial will allow volunteers to create quizzes with questions tagged to curriculum standards and collect student performance data related to mastery of skills.
The platform also has the ability to differentiate instruction and automatically categorize students, freeing teachers to move about the room and foster a student-centred environment. Here is a short video introduction.
If you wish to participate please fill out this survey and we will move forward with volunteers.
Updates and District Information
Broken Chromebook Tech Requests
1. Please make sure to enter the property number. We do not know which computer belongs to which student. Include the student name, but make sure the property number is always on the tech request.
2. LEAVE IT OUT for the tech. Please do not put it back in the charging cart. Leave it in a designated area, on top of the cart, on the teacher desk, etc. Due to property numbers not being visible when the Chromebooks are in the cart, this causes a time consuming "check and find" for each one.
Thank you!

SAVE THE DATE: Edcamp Heartland Tech
"Edcamp is a form of unconference designed specifically for teachers and their needs.
What makes Edcamp an unconference?
Unlike traditional conferences which have schedules set months in advance by the people running the conference, Edcamp has an agenda that’s created by the participants at the start of the event. Instead of one person standing in front of the room talking for an hour, people are encouraged to have discussions and hands-on sessions. Sponsors don’t have their own special sessions or tables, all of the space and time are reserved for the things the people there want to talk about." - http://edcamponline.weebly.com/what-is-edcamp.html
