Costumes
We will not be having a Halloween Parade; however students may wear costumes to school on the day of their party. The following rules will apply:
- Students should arrive at school in their costume. They will not be allowed to change into costumes after arrival.
- The following are NOT permitted:
→ Masks (students will be required to wear their daily facemask)
→ Face paint
→ Violent or inappropriate themes
→ Gory or grotesque costumes
→ Props (no swords, weapons, wands, false teeth, etc.)
- Costumes may not cause disruption or distraction to the classroom. Costumes may not interfere with students sitting at their desks. Students must be able to wear their costume inside or outside, at recess, at P.E., on the bus, etc.
- Costumes should not interfere with the ability of a student to go to the bathroom by themselves.
- Any student that arrives in a costume not appropriate for school will need to be picked up or have a change of clothes dropped off for them.
- Due to COVID restrictions, no parents or volunteers will be allowed in the building for Halloween parties.
- PTA will provide an individual treat for each student. Please do not send any food items for the class to eat during the party.
- If you would like to send candy, it needs to be pre-packaged and individually wrapped. Classroom teachers will pass candy out to students to ensure social distancing.
- All items must come to school with students. Parents will not be allowed to drop items off in the office to be delivered to classrooms.
