How Do You Study?
As Midterms approach, here are some tips to study...
- Everyone is different. Different methods work for different people; the following are only suggestions on improving upon your current studying techniques.
- It is best to review the material right after class when it's still fresh in your memory.
- Don't try to do all your studying the night before the test. Instead, space out your studying, review class materials at least several times a week.
- Find a comfortable and quiet place to study with good lighting and little distractions (try avoiding your own bed; it is very tempting to just lie down and take a nap).
- Take short breaks frequently.
- Test yourself or have someone test you on the material to find out what your weak and strong areas are.
- Don't study later than the time you usually go to sleep, you may fall asleep or be tempted to go to sleep, instead try studying in the afternoon or early evening.

What is your favorite Marian Hall memory?
"My favorite memory is winning the Hall Olympics. The Olympics is where different residence halls compete to see who is the best. I was surprised that we won because I thought we didn't do so hot. During the physical activities our team was below average but we made up for it during trivia, charades, and sprinting. We just had fun and went for it. Winning was not a priority but in the end winning made it a lasting memory."

What is your favorite Marian Hall memory?: "My favorite Marian memory is dinner with the Dean last year. I always love getting to talk with Dean Erevelles and it was extra fun because all my friends and my roommate went too. Also, I love Boo Bash every year. I love the fact that the community comes out and that we get to interact with them. Plus the activities and themes are always super fun."
