The Lightning Thief

By: Rick Riordan

My Book- The Lightning Thief

Perseus thinks he's just like any other normal teenage boy. Until one day he was accused of stealing the lightning bolt from Zeus. Hades found where Perseus was, and took his mother from him because he stole the lightning bolt. In order for Perseus to get his mother back he would have to go on three tasks.

My Myth- Orpheus and Eurydice

The myth I chose is the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. In this myth Orpheus falls in love with Eurydice. Soon Eurydice got bit by a snake and was sent to the underworld with Hades. Hades kept her away from Orpheus. Hades made Orpheus go through multiple tasks to get Eurydice back.

Exciting And Breath taking

My Critiques

I think this book is exciting and takes you in by surprise. This book has a lot of action in it making you want to keep on. I think both boys and girls would like this book.

Perseus is The Protagonist

Percy is the protagonist in this book because he fought Hades, the antagonist, to get his mother back from the underworld.

How The Two Are Similar

the book The Lightning Thief and the myth Orpheus and Eurydice are similar because both the story and the myth have someone taken away from them. In The Lightning Thief Perseus lost his mother to Hades. In Orpheus and Eurydice; Orpheus loses Eurydice to Hades as well.
