Humans effects on the earth.
Our actions have effects on the environment, wild life, and health of people.
Wild life.
"The number of wild animals on Earth has halved in the past 40 years, according to a new analysis. Creatures across land, rivers and the seas are being decimated as humans kill them for food in unsustainable numbers, while polluting or destroying their habitats, the research by scientists at WWF and the Zoological Society of London found."
Effects on human health.
"Scientific evidence indicates that ground-level ozone not only affects people with impaired respiratory systems (such as asthmatics), but healthy adults and children as well. Exposure to ozone for 6 to 7 hours, even at relatively low concentrations, significantly reduces lung function and induces respiratory inflammation in normal, healthy people during periods of moderate exercise."
Effects on enviroment
"Research has shown that air pollutants from fossil fuel use make clouds reflect more of the sun’s rays back into space. However, it is believed that global dimming caused the droughts in Ethiopia in the 1970s and 80s where millions died, because the northern hemisphere oceans were not warm enough to allow rain formation."
The enviroment in China.
Water resources: The water resources of China are affected by both severe water quantity shortages and severe water quality pollution.
Climate change: China is the world's current largest emitter of carbon dioxide although not the cumulative largest.
Desertification: Desertification remains a serious problem, consuming an area greater than that taken by farmlands.
