Bush Elementary is hosting our new Bush Bucks School Store each month, and we are in need of donations for our store. You can purchase and bring items to the front office or ship them directly to the school. Our Bush Bobcats earn their Bush Bucks to shop in our school store by following school wide expectations, being good citizens, and exhibiting great character traits. If not purchased through the Amazon link please bring it to the front office. Thank you for your support!

As a reminder our school doors do not open until 7:30 AM. We ask that you do not drop off your child before that time as they will be on the front porch unattended.
- Please remember to remind your children not to cross until the crossing guards are at their posts in the morning.
- A picture of your child's barcode on your phone will not work for car rider line. We have to scan each barcode and you need the actual print out.
- Please do not drop of children on Crownridge Drive at the school path. If you are in car line the children should remain in the vehicle until they are at the front of the school.
- While driving, allow crossing guards to cross children and to return to the sidewalk before driving through the crosswalk.
- Cell phones should not be used while in the school zone.
- Dogs are not allowed on school property.
- U-turns are not allowed on Crownridge Drive.
Lost & Found
With the cooler weather the children are now wearing sweaters and jackets. Please remember to label these articles clearly with your child’s name. Also don’t forget to label water bottles, backpacks, and any other personal items. If your child misplaces an item, please remind them to check in the lost and found located in the front lobby. Please Note - All non-claimed items will be donated over Thanksgiving Break!
Reporting Student Absences
To report an absence for your child, do one of the following:
- Call our attendance line at 936-709-1610 and leave a message stating your child’s name, reason for the absence, person reporting the absence, and a phone number.
- Email the registrar – firstname.lastname@example.org with your student’s absence information.
When your child returns to school, a note explaining the absence should be brought to their teacher, front office, or the attendance office.
Transportation changes must be made in writing before 2:00 PM. We cannot accept transportation changes by phone. To submit a transportation change, you may send a written note to your child's teacher or provide a note to the front office with the following information:
- the date
- your child's full name
- homeroom teacher
- bus number (if applicable)
- your signature
If an emergency arises, you may send an email to email@example.com. The e-mail must include all of the above information and must be received before 2:00 PM. If you submit a transportation change by email, it must go to the email address referenced above. Teachers do not check their email regularly throughout the day, so transportation changes should not be emailed directly to the teacher. Please send a new note for each day the change occurs; we cannot accept notes for multiple days or with multiple changes. District policy states that a student may only ride the bus they are registered to ride; students may not have a transportation change to ride a different bus.
Gifted & Talented Information
Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher. Referrals will be accepted October 3- December 16, 2022. You may request a referral form from the front office or the Assistant Principal (Brooke McCoy firstname.lastname@example.org). You can also find the referral form and other GT information on the CISD GT homepage linked here.
Lunch Visitor Information
There will be a visitor table located in the gym/cafeteria by the bleachers. Please plan to arrive at school 5 -10 minutes before your student's lunch time. You will need to come into the front office, have your ID scanned, and receive a visitor badge. With limited seating you will only be able to have lunch with your student. Once your lunch time is complete you will walk back to the front of the building and check out in the front office. Please be sure to have your badge visible at all times. Bobcats Helping Bobcats
Our Bush Bobcat Family has always been very generous when it comes to helping our own Bobcats whose families are needing assistance, especially during the holiday season. We want to make the holiday extra special for these families by helping to put gifts under their trees. If you would like to help, please sign-up to bring a gift or two for one or more of the children listed below. You will see each child's age, gender and a few suggested gift ideas. When you choose a child, do not feel obligated to get everything on their list, one or two items from their listed suggestions would be helpful. Please use this link to sign-up. Contact Bush counselors with any questions.
