Upcoming events and tests
October 15 - Math test (comparing and ordering numbers, rounding, and standard, word, and expanded form) Students should bring home their math notebooks in order to study for the test. Please make sure they also bring them back each day; we add to them quite often.
After school math help will begin October 20th. Anyone interested in receiving some small group instruction after school can attend. We will work on individual weaknesses to improve specific skills. The session will run from 2:30 to 3:00 every Tuesday. Please write in the agenda if your child will be attending and be sure to pick up at 3:00. You can come to my outside door to make it more convenient.
Monthly book club - Our first book will be Seven Spiders Spinning. Students interested in joining the book club are responsible for reading the book by the book club meeting date (October 29). We will have a project and snack to discuss the book. The club will be held from 2:30 to 3:30. All students are welcome, and if the book is too difficult this becomes a great opportunity to read to your child. The only expectation is to completely read the book in order to be prepared for the discussion. We had an amazing time last year and hope for the same results this year. If you are interested just let me know and I will get you a copy of the book.
