1st Semester Report Cards
Just a reminder that teachers report student progress on grade level standards on a scale of 1-4 (they no longer use a transitional letters such as A, B, C, etc.). Generally speaking:
- A score of 4 means = The student has not only mastered the concept, they can teach it to a classmate and can apply what they learned.
- A score of 3 means = The student can do the work on their own; they've mastered the concept.
- A score of 2 means = The student is partially successful with the concept and needs some help.
- A score of 1 means = Even with help, the student cannot complete the work...YET!

Students in Grades 3-5: Science Fair Information
Are you interested in science? Do you like to ask questions and find out the answers to those questions? Then the Elementary Science Fair is exactly for you! It is an opportunity for you to showcase your imagination and talents and to learn a lot in the process.
Students in grades 3-5 are invited to participate in our annual Science Fair. The Science Fair will be held on Thursday,March 17,2022 in the school gym. 5th grade students that are attending the Eagle Bluff field trip will have an alternate day for judging--stay tuned for that date!
We encourage everyone to participate in this exciting opportunity. The Science Fair provides you with an opportunity to enhance your interest in Science. It is also a chance for you and your family to work together on a project that you can be proud of.
After you send the information below to Mrs. Wiley, she will send home the information packet about Science Fair project ideas, the scientific method, and a judge scoring sheet. Hopefully this information will be of assistance to you as you plan your project.
More information about the Science Fair and Science Fair projects will be sent home as the Science Fair gets closer. Presentation boards can be purchased from the school office for a cost of $5.00.
We are looking forward to seeing many creative projects in this year’s Science Fair! Please let us know if there is anything that we can help you with, or if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Amanda Wiley & Steph Schultz
