From the Principal's Desk
Welcome Back to School DiPietro Families,
Tomorrow is the big day! We are so excited to have students back in the building. Just a reminder about the beginning and end of the day. Please look at the picture below to find out which door to pick up your child(ren).
Pre-K - 3: Bus Arrival will begin at 8:35 am and continue until the last bus arrives.
Pre-K Student Drop-Off: at 8:50 am for the morning classes and 12:15 pm for the afternoon classes.
K - 3: Student Drop-Off will last ten minutes and will begin once the last bus arrives. ALL students should get out of their car at the front of the building. This time frame is approximately 8:45 - 8:55 am. Students are required to put their masks on prior to exiting the car. If there are no staff in front of the building parents must come into the school to sign their child in. This will take place in the foyer of the building.
Pre-K Student Pick-Up will take place at 11:20 am for the morning session and 2:45 pm for the afternoon session.
K - 3 Student Pick-Up will take place from 2:40 - 2:50 pm. Please plan on being at the pick-up location right at 2:40 pm. Thank you.
Families will be assigned a door at which they will be able to pick up all students they have at DiPietro. This is to lessen the number of families congregated in one area. Please see the picture below this letter to show you the door to pick up your child(ren)
If you have more than 1 child at DiPietro, your older child(ren) will join his/her younger sibling at the youngest siblings door. Teachers will be able to help your child.
Families are expected to leave the school premises immediately after their student(s) have been released to them.
Pre-K - 3 Bus Loading: - students will board buses from 2:50 - 3:00 pm.
Students will wait in their classrooms until their buses are called.
No more than two buses will be called at a time.
When a bus is called students will be directed to the door through which they will exit. Students will be called to board buses at the main doors or cafeteria doors.
Prior to boarding the bus, students will be lined up according to the order of bus stops so that students with the first bus stops are sitting at the front of the bus.
Just a quick request. Remember, this type of school opening is new to ALL of us and sometimes even the best-laid plans do not work perfectly. Thank you in advance for your patience and willingness to share thoughts and ideas. We will certainly take them into consideration and do what is best for the building as a whole.
Your principal,
Miriam Friedman
