A City of the Future

in My World

My Ideal World

I would have to have a place where the climate was around 30 degrees year round and had no major natural disasters in the region. I would call my city Paradise and have a population of about 40,000. Taxes usually are collected to take care of city services within the city you live. I would want to reside in a city where I can still smell the scent of fresh air , yet my eyes can play with the fondness of civilization and modern infrastructures of greens from trees . Dramatic and lighted fountains , abstract statues , modern parks , libraries , educational. I would love to breathe in a city where toxic industrial parks do not exist.

In my ideal city, people of different races, religions, and incomes would be able to live together in harmony.

Advantages and disadvantages of living in a city

The Advantages: different kinds of restaurants, and cultural events. Plenty of people to choose from in finding friends. Usually good hospitals/medical care. Travel is easier - airports, trains, etc. Better access to universities.

The Disadvantages: Cities are very crowded. Everywhere there are crowds: on the pavements and in the buses. Often higher crime rates and poor schools, although many rural and suburban schools aren't that hot, either. The traffic is heavy and city's car parks are always very full.

Advantages and disadvantages of living in a country

The Advantages: of country life is the fact that it is safer than life in a metropolis. Сountry is less polluted and the traffic isn't so heavy. There aren't any huge blocks of flats, modern skyscrapers or bothersome traffic jams. You can enjoy walking in the forest and picking mushrooms or hunting.
The Disadvantages: The unemployment rate is also much higher than in the city. The same problem concerns the access to the hospitals, schools, police stations and shops, which are usually located far from the village.
