Weekly Update
Welcome back and hope everyone had a happy, healthy start to 2024!
We had a great week at WHS to kick off the new year, and we can’t wait to see what we accomplish together in 2024! Be sure to check the updates below as our learning community prepares for standardized assessments such as the ACT and PreACT, 2024-25 course registration, and the remainder of the 2nd trimester. Have a fantastic weekend!
24-25 Registration Rollout
WHS will begin registration rollout for the 2024-2025 school year on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. During homerooms, students will review transcripts to check graduation requirements met and yet to attain. Using this information and guidance from families and staff, students can make intentional and informed decisions about choosing classes at WHS to better prepare for goals after high school.
Students will have the ability to make changes to course requests until January 26, 2024. Please utilize the 2024-2025 course book to clarify course content, and feel free to reach out to school counselors with any additional questions or concerns. Thanks in advance for helping us to make registration a smooth transition for everyone!

FSFSA Update
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) became available on December 31st, 2023. FAFSA data is used to determine eligibility for grants, work study and federal student loans. Many colleges use FAFSA data to determine eligibility for institutional aid, such as scholarships. All students, regardless of perceived financial need, should complete the FAFSA.
Prior to completing the FAFSA, students and parents/guardians must create a Federal Student Aid account, also known as a FSA ID.
If you need help completing the FAFSA, consider attending a College Goal Wisconsin event. College Goal Wisconsin is a free statewide program, with both in-person and virtual events.
AFS Host Search
Are you interested in hosting an AFS student? We are looking for a loving family to host an eCampus International student from Portugal during the fall of 2024. For more information, please contact AFS at 1-800-AFS-INFO.
