Monday 10/10/2016 - Friday 14/10/2016

Hello from all of us at Balladen School!

It is difficult to believe that another week has flown by but it has! We have packed so much learning and fun into it!

On Monday Mr. Stanton took our wonderful girls football training. The girls are really improving and some of the tackles being made would not have been out of place on a premiership ground.

On Tuesday Street Dance finished and if you have a look at our twitter feed here you can see the proud owner of the trophy! Some of our boys also had football training and our wonderful teachers enjoyed learning in their staff meeting after school.

On Wednesday Reverend Julie and Reverend Chris came into school to present the bibles to Year 2 to Year 6 children. The children have really enjoyed looking at the bibles and are excited about taking them home for a while eventually. On Wednesday after school our football team played at a tournament at Fearns and did incredibly well. They played 4 games, scored 11 goals and conceded none! They are through to the final next week.

On Thursday Year 2 and Year 6 had firefighters come to visit with them and teach them all about fire safety. They had to leave during the session because they had an emergency call! They did come back and finish their lesson and we thank them for that! Year 4 participated in athletics coaching and some children went to Fearns to participate in some incredible sports activities.

On Friday we held our celebration assembly. It is always a privilege to present awards for learning and other important aspects of school life. One of our awards today was for an incredible smile! Year 5 finished off their week with river walking with Mr. Grime.

Have a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing all of those smiling faces on Monday morning.

With respect,

Mr. Neil Ringrose

Thank you and well done!
