A MESSAGE FROM MR. COLE
Pine Road Families,
We are thrilled to welcome more of our Pine Road students back to in-person learning under our hybrid model. I would like to send a thank you to our entire school community for your support in making the most of challenging times and working collaboratively for the success of our learners.
Just a reminder that an accurate accounting of learners physically present in our buildings is more important than ever. Please remember to utilize the Pine Road Attendance Form to indicate changes in learning location. If your Hybrid learner will be attending virtually during an assigned in-person day please indicate that on the form. If you know in advance that your hybrid learner will be virtual, please also communicate that to the classroom teacher so they can plan accordingly. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
In order for us to continue to offer safe in-person learning environments, we must stringently follow safety guidelines. As a reminder, when entering the building, EVERYONE must wear a mask. Also, when picking up or dropping off either in the walker or car line, please make sure you keep a 6 ft. distance and wear a mask. Additionally, when students are not feeling well please keep them home. All students have the option to access learning virtually if they stay home sick, but are well enough to participate.
Also, please continue to communicate any Covid exposure or positivity to our nurse's office. Mrs. Seefried will assist in any contact tracing deemed necessary, as well as determine the appropriate return date for in-person learners. Please also communicate any out of state travel with her as well. Travel guidelines continue to be in flux and Mrs. Seefried can assist families in complying with any required procedures.
Sincerely,
Scott Cole
Principal

2021 PTA Poster Contest
Our February contest will be to create a sign or banner illustrating why you like and/or appreciate your school. We know that times may be quite different this year, but our PR teachers are working exceptionally hard for our students. Pine Road Elementary School is a wonderful place with a thoughtful, caring and devoted staff. Your task is to come up with a catchy saying or simply write “I Love My School” on a sign and decorate it. Another option would be to design a poster to show why you are “Pine Road Proud”. All Pine Road students are invited to submit a photo of their completed banner by 9:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
One winner will be chosen from each grade to win a fun prize. Winners will be selected by a special group of judges including Pine Road staff and Pine Road PTA representatives. Only one entry per Pine Road student. Posters may be made of any materials you might have at home such as: paint, markers, crayons or colored pencils. You may choose to use glitter or stickers to embellish your creation. Phrases and designs must be school appropriate. We look forward to seeing your creativity!
Entries can be submitted at this link:
https://forms.gle/poeAXcuVr4smpeAU7
Please note that by submitting an entry you are consenting to your photo and the student's name being displayed on our social media pages and in the PR yearbook.
