Monday Message
from Susan M. Hasenauer, Superintendent
Monday, June 14, 2021
Dear Families,
Last Tuesday evening, I had the distinct pleasure of facilitating the Retiree Reception. I was moved by the experiences that were shared about each retiree and the endless stories of their success and most importantly the positive impact they have had on our students and our community. Collectively, they shared 368 years of experience! Driving home that evening, I began to think about my own legacy and how we never truly know how a simple gesture can affect a person. What mark will I leave on the world?
As I reflected on this, I saw the richness of my life measured differently because of this evening. While it is distinctly important to chase your own dreams and leave a mark on this life, it is as equally important to be kind, generous and giving to others, which is exactly what was emulated in each person who stood before me on that night. Therefore, through the eyes and the hearts of each educator that is pictured below (as well as the ones that could not join us that evening), thank you for your legacy of taking the next generation of students to a level that we could only imagine. Enjoy your well deserved retirement and thank you for your service.
