What is AdvancED Accreditation?

In Richland School District Two, excellence in education and providing meaningful, challenging, and engaging learning experiences for our students is what we do on a daily basis. The culture we have built around this has our 4 squares: Learning, Character, Community, and Joy, which are at the heart of what we do on a daily basis. While we all recognize the great work we do, we are also aware that we must be on a continuous improvement plan. We must not only show how great of a district we are, but we must also prove how great of a district we are to the rest of the state and country.

In March of 2017, the district will have an opportunity to show prove to others just how great we are, affirming our hard work, and receive guidance from an outside perspective during our AdvancED accreditation visit.

Prior to this visit, administration is required to conduct anonymous ELEOT walk through visits to practice using the tool this school year. Additionally, you may be asked to serve on a self assessment team as we provide evidence to each of the accreditation standards.

Jennifer Gillespie and Katie Barber are co-chairing our school team and are happy to answer any questions you may have about this process.
