A note from Kris.....
When you are giving a child a bottle while rocking them to sleep, it is the perfect time to reflect.
It was interesting how at a week filled with life altering change - I found comfort in the change of my childhood home. This was the room with pink walls where I first starting holding class for the neighborhood children when they were available and all my stuffed animals when they were not. It was in these pink walls that are now yellow that I learned the importance of an amazing good night story. It was in these pink walls that I began keeping a journal. It was in these walls that I was sent to when I said an explicative and when I was experiencing a "poor me" moment - to which my mom would say, " Be sad. Cry about it. But then...put one foot in front of the other and remember that somebody's steps are more difficult than yours."
Maybe this story speaks to you about the only constant in life is change... Maybe it doesn't - But all that I do know for sure is that I have learned so much from serving each and every one of you as Principal. You have made me a better leader, person and educator by sharing and showing your greatness daily.
Find comfort in the fact that change helps us grow!
Have a great weekend! See you Monday!
Building open Saturday!
