- The car rider line will close at 8:27 in order to make sure students are screened and in class before the tardy bell. If you arrive later than 8:27 you will need to park and bring them to the front office. Thank you for your patience as we have more students attending school each day and still have to complete temperature checks and screenings.

Parent Tip of the Week:
- Click here for a math tip on subtracting a 2-digit number using an open number line.
School Nutrition:
- The current waiver that provides meals free of charge for all students has been extended through the end of the year. This means that all school-age children who live in Onslow will be eligible to receive meals at no cost. Meal benefit applications can still be completed and submitted online or contact your teacher for a paper application.
- Please visit the county website for an updated list of school nutrition hub sites.
From the Nurse:
If a household member of one of your students has at least one exclusionary symptom of COVID-19 (Fever, chills, shortness of breath, new cough, new loss of taste or smell) then all members of the household must quarantine for fourteen days from their last contact with the symptomatic person unless that person meets the following criteria.
- A healthcare provider states the student DOES NOT have COVID-19/or they have an alternate diagnosis which explains the COVID-like symptoms. Also, an improvement of symptoms and to be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications is required.
- If your student gets a COVID test the household must stay in quarantine until the results come back. Negative rapid tests are no longer acceptable. The type of test must be the COVID-19 PCR Molecular one that is sent away for analyzing.
- If your student tests positive for COVID-19 then they must stay isolated for at least 10 days from the first day symptoms started or 10 days from the test date. If symptoms have improved and they have had no fever for at least 24 hours, then they may return to school. Everyone else in the household must quarantine for 14 days from their last exposure to the COVID positive person. If they cannot separate from the positive person then they must quarantine for 24 days.
Thank you for your patience, diligence and understanding. Please contact Nurse Nancy with any questions or concerns.
