The Manning Weekly Update
February 11, 2024
Dear Manning,
I hope that everyone had a great weekend and are ready to tackle a new week at Manning. I want to begin by congratulating our Manning Robotics team and our MathCounts students that competed last week. Also, congratulations to the 20 Manning Mustangs who were selected to perform in the All-State Choir. Lastly, well done to our 21 spelling bee participants. We had the most students selected of any other middle school in Jeffco! These were just a few of the student highlights at Manning, look for pictures and articles below.
Please check out this week’s updates below:
- February PTA Meeting - Please join us this Thursday, February 15th at 8:30 for our February PTA meeting!
- No School on Friday, February 16 & Monday, February 19 - Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Friday, February 16 (non-student contact day) and Monday, February 19 (Presidents’ Day). School resumes on Tuesday, February 20. Please enjoy your extended weekend!
- 24/25 Budget Updates - As you may know, schools across our state are funded by SBB or student-based budgeting. Each year, we receive our SBB dollar amount (based on enrollment forecasts) that we use to staff our school in line with our UIP goals as well as budget for a variety of expenses.. While our budget doesn’t provide us with unlimited possibilities, I am pleased to report that we will be able to maintain our current staffing while also reinstating an instructional coach, hiring an additional paraprofessional, and adding a number of course sections to support with elective choices and smaller class sizes. If you’d like to learn more about our budget process, please reach out to Matt
- Inclement Weather Delay Schedule - Just a reminder that on a delayed start day, school begins at 10:25 with a 10-minute soft start beginning at 10:15. Breakfast is not served on delayed start days. You can find our delayed start bell schedule HERE.
In Partnership,
Matt
