PAYING FOR MEALS AND QUALIFYING FOR FREE MEALS THIS SCHOOL YEAR
The universal free meals waiver with USDA has expired. Beginning the 2022-2023 school year meals will be charged to the student accounts.
Please set up your student's meal account or apply for free meals through the Titan Program Website. TTSD is no longer using the My School Bucks Program. Any funds that were in My School Bucks have been transferred over to your student's account in Titan.
Your student can qualify for free meals if your family household income falls below the amounts outlined in the Oregon Expanded Income Guidelines.
Example, a family of four with a combined household income of less than $83,250 would qualify for free meals.
TTSD UPDATED 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR
The TTSD School Board approved an amended 2022-2023 School Year Calendar at the June 27, 2022, School Board meeting based on an agreement between TTSD and the district’s teacher association.
Please Note: The new calendar includes:
- two additional teacher planning days (March and May);
- adjusts the dates of planning days in October, January, and April
- moves the Family Partnership Days (formerly conference days) from October to November
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON BUS SCHEDULES
Due to current staffing shortages, TTSD’s bus company, Student Transportation of America (STA), expects some bus routes will experience delays at the beginning of the school year. Please be sure your contact information is updated and watch for transportation alerts if there is a delay to your student’s route.
To update your contact information, please contact your school office. Also, please help us spread the word. Bus driver positions are available. This is a great opportunity with schedules that work well for families with school-aged children.
Expectations for Use of Personal Electronic Devices for Secondary Students
As we welcome students back to school this fall, it’s important to clarify some key expectations regarding the use of personal electronic devices while our middle and high school students are at school. With the increasing use of and reliance on cell phones and other personal devices for social interaction and entertainment, we’d like to partner together in transitioning students back to school smoothly. Working in cooperation with you, as families, to ensure that class time is reserved for engaging, interactive, disruption-free learning is crucial to student success.
