Dear MHS Students and Families,

March is going to be a very busy month here at MHS. It is a very exciting time in our building and we can't wait to dig in! Please take note of the following information.

Upcoming ½ Days: March 9th (Professional Development) and 10th (Parent-Teacher Conferences) will both be ½ days.

Parent-Teacher Conferences: Conferences will be held from 12:00-2:30pm and 6:30-8:30pm on Thursday, March 10th. Each of your student's teachers should have sent you an email yesterday with information on how to sign up for a time slot. Please reach out to the teachers directly if you have not received that information.

ELA MCAS: All 10th grade students will be taking the ELA MCAS Assessment on March 22nd and 23rd. Please keep in mind that both those dates will be “reverse half days” for grades 9, 11 and 12. School will start at 10:30am.

Grade 8 Parent Night- March 16th 6:30pm

We are looking forward to a very exciting month as we move one step closer to summer!

Please do not miss out on this great opportunity to access scholarship funds to help support your college education. We are so fortunate to have so many generous sponsors across the Mansfield community that value the opportunity to support our students. Important Graduation Information

Earlier in the week, I sent the following message to all seniors and their families.

Dear Students and Families of the Class of 2022,

I am happy to inform you that we will be holding the 2022 Mansfield High School Graduation Ceremony at the Xfinity Center. Our original graduation date has had to change so that we can utilize the Xfinity Center, so please mark your calendars for the MHS graduation which will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 6:30pm. We are very excited about the opportunity to return to this venue after being away for the last two years. As someone who has had the opportunity to attend the last five graduations, I can say there is something very special about seeing our students walk across the Xfinity stage.

The May 31st date and a weeknight graduation is a departure from what we have traditionally done in the past. I am writing to you today to allow you enough time to adjust this in your calendar and begin making plans for a very exciting end of the year. I will be sharing more information about senior week activities very soon. I will also be co-hosting a “Senior Town Hall'' meeting with Class President Sagar Koul during the last period of the day this Friday, March 4. The information we share during this meeting will certainly provide some clarity about what the end of the year will look like for the Class of 2022.

I am very proud of this class. I had the honor of being your grade-level administrator during your entire time here at MHS and I have seen just how special you are. I am excited about being able to celebrate your accomplishments in a venue that has meant so much to graduates over the years.
