Everything you want to know about the Village Oaks Common Area Association Pool for the Summer of 2021.

This year we are offering one-week classes to better accommodate families. Feel free to sign up for as many as you would like. Please understand it may take more than one session for your child to pass a level. Additional times or classes may be offered depending on the number of registrations.

Membership: Admittance is only allowed to legal residents of VOCAA who are in good standing.

Admittance: All members will check in at the lifeguard table when entering the pool area. Only one family in at the gate/table at a time. If the name/address to do match what the office has on file, we will need proof of residency.

Pool Cards: Members 12 and older can receive a pool card. Children ages 8 - 11 can test to receive a pool card, all others must be accompanied by an adult. Must have proof that resident lives at the address.

Guests: Guests must be accompanied by a member and signed in with the lifeguard. Fees are $3 or one guest pass per person. Families are $10 each. Children UNDER THE AGE OF 12 are NOT allowed to have a guest. Members between the ages of 12 - 17 are only allowed ONE guest. The member MUST BE on the pool deck or in the pool at all times.

Food: NO FOOD will be allowed on the pool deck the 2021 season. Please check out at the guard table and eat in the park.

The following are PROHIBITED within the pool area: glass containers, personal stereos, foul language, running, wrestling, horseplay, punching, dunking, diving from the shoulders of any other persons, and any other activities considered hazardous by the Lifeguards.

The play structure pictured below has been ordered and is scheduled to be installed in the next couple of weeks.

The levels of both of our lakes are down, with Village Wood Lake substantially lower compared to normal. Some residents have wondered if the sewer construction project in Rotary Park less than a mile away has contributed to the lower water levels. The Novi City Engineer has stated that the lake levels are as a result of the moderate drought affecting Michigan in general, and not due to the construction project.

The Rotary Park sewer construction is expected to last until 2022. At present, ground water is being pumped out of the water table and diverted down river at a rate of 4.5 million gallons each day. The groundwater pumping is supposed to be reduced somewhat in ”a month or so”, according to the Novi City Engineer.
