St. Jerome School Weekly Reminders
Week of December 5th, 2022
“God walks into your soul with silent step. God comes to you more than you go to Him. Never will his coming be what you expect, and yet never will it disappoint. The more you respond to his gentle pressure, the greater will be your freedom.”
Ven. Fulton Sheen
Reminders for the Week:
*Click here for the St. Jerome Parish Sunday Bulletin; please join us for Sunday Mass each week: 4:30 PM (Saturday Vigil), 6:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM (Children's Liturgy of the Word), & 11:00 AM. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is offered on Saturdays from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM or by appointment.
*Pre-K3 through 8th grade students will be allowed to shop with their class during the designated time listed on the flyer. This event is a way for students to shop (in secret!) for the perfect gift for Mom, Dad, grandparents, siblings and other important people and pets in their lives.
*We invite our school community our Merry and Bright Family Fun Night, which includes shopping hours at the Santa Shop on Thursday, December 8th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
*We will gather as a school community for Mass at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 8th for the Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day of Obligation. Mrs. Schmidt's 6th Grade A class will assist as readers and gift bearers. The Mass will be live-streamed on our school Facebook page. Also, Mass will be celebrated at St. Jerome Church for the Holy Day:
- Tuesday, December 7th: 4:30 PM
- Wednesday, December 8th: 6:30 AM, 8:00 AM, & 7:00 PM
*We are having an open house Tuesday for prospective families from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM and also from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM. Please pass the word onto family, friends, and neighbors who may be interested in our school for next year.
*Report cards for the first trimester will be posted to OptionC on Wednesday. Please contact the main office if you need your OptionC login. If you have any questions about your child's progress, please contact your child's teacher for that particular subject. Report cards are a good time for the students to reflect on their progress, celebrate successes, and set goals for improvement in the second trimester. We look forward to continuing to work together with you to provide the best for each one of our students.
*As we journey through the season of Advent, in anticipation of Christmas, each class (K-8th) will be attending the 8:00 AM Mass once a week for Advent:
- Monday: 1st & 2nd
- Tuesday: 3rd
- Wednesday: KA & KB
- Thursday: 4th & 5th
- Friday: 6th, 7th, & 8th
