Bell High School
Principals Update Week 11
From The Desk of Rafael Balderas, Principal
Greetings Bell HS Family,
I hope this message finds you and your family in great health and sound in mind! With national and local elections just around the corner, it’s time to remind everyone in our learning community the importance of exercising your right to vote! As principal I’m not going to pontificate about the virtues of one political party or another. Nor am I going to promote reasons to support causes or initiatives. I am essentially writing to you as a steward of the democratic ideals and processes that our public schools are entrusted to teach our students.
This may be the most important election of our lifetime. Election Day, November 3, 2020, is your chance to take control for your community and weigh in on the issues that matter most to you and your family. As voters, we all have an equal say in determining our future. That’s why it is so important to go cast a vote. The leaders we elect will make decisions that affect your everyday life — your job, health care, the economy and more. So please join your friends and neighbors by being a voter on November 3, 2020!
Here are a few important tips:
- If you need to find information about how, when and where to vote, please visit www.VOTE411.org and enter your address.
- On Election Day, polling places are open in from 7 am to 8 pm.
