Vlad Putin

You dont like me taking over Ukraine, Well cri-me-a river.

Putin from a statistical standpoint

Vladimir Putin has been apart of the Russian government for what seems like forever, he has been the President of Russia since 7 May 2012. Putin Previously served as president from 2000 to 2008. He was the Prime Minister from 1999 to 2000 and again from 2008 to 2012. He also spent 16 years in the KGB, which is basically filled up with people running around like its a restaurant. When you're Russian for food, there's no time for Stalin.

Russia's Political standpoint

With Vlad Putin under control of Russia, and it seems it will stay that way until he dies, Russia is going to stay a disastrous mess. Russia is apparently a democratic republic form of democracy but to me its starting to look like a dictatorship. Vlad Putin enforces laws and rights on Russian citizens that are uncalled for and unjust. An example of these laws are the LGBT rights which state that their can't be same-sex marriage, which has brought anti-LGBT law protesters on the streets trying to start riots.

Russia from a geographical standpoint

Russia's relative location stirs up issues with Ukraine involving Crimea. Crimea was apart of Russia until 1954, it became associated with Ukraine. The problem today that is causing all the violence and tension in the region, Is that Ukraine and Russia are both claiming Crimea.

Russian president Vlad Putin is trying to do everything in his power to get it back. The reason both countries want Crimea is because Crimea is full of Natural Resources and can rejuvenate a lot of money. Despite many "Warnings" and "Threats" from global leaders around the world, He is still marching his troops through the streets of Simferopol.

How this affects the world?

I feel that this topic is a serious issue around the world because thousands and millions are dying. Innocent people are dying because they live in a violent region, on a daily bases Russian tanks and soldiers are fighting Ukrainian tanks and soldiers over Crimea. With this fight headed nowhere, and the ignorance of each country, its up to the rest of the world to figure out this problem. We as a nation are on the clock because we don't want to get directly involved in this problem and get dragged into a war. I have an assumptions that secret allies are forming with countries such as Syria, Iran, Iraq, Georgia getting involved. I have included a video of a Skit on Saturday Night Live, which basically summarizes progress being made between the U.S. and Russia.
