Good news! We'll have a yearbook again this year to help us remember all the great events from this school year (and those cute little faces, too).
You can customize two pages of the yearbook with your own student's pictures that will print only in your copy. You must first register for a TreeRing account and then you'll be able to start customizing, or you can pre-purchase now without customizing.
Customized pages must be completed by May 1. Yearbooks are $21.99 for the paperback edition and will be delivered before the end of the school year.
Want to see pictures of your student's class in the yearbook? Please upload your photos to our Shutterfly site. See directions on getting access on the site if you're a first-time user: http://westhollywoodphotos.shutterfly.com/ Please name your album ("Mrs. Pando's Trip to LACMA 2015", etc.) so we know where to place photos in the yearbook.
We are also looking for BOY SCOUT LEADERS! Our boys can't join until 1st grade but that'll be here before we know it! :)
If you're interested, please let me know and I will put you in contact with the right person
Message from Ms. Shirazi
Request* Goldfish snacks for the class? Can someone bring goldfish (big bag) to pass out for snack during the field trip?? Please? :)
A big thank you to Wilson-Turner family for donating a tent to our class! The students had a chance to discover, touch, and "play" with the butterflies in the tent!!
Thank you parents who have turned in field trip slips for the theater Thursday. I'm still waiting for a few. Please label and pack lunch, snacks, and liquids in disposables. Have your child wear comfortable shoes and our school uniform.
Livia's last day- Wednesday (tomorrow) will be Livia's last day at school as the Basche family is going to New York city. In their short time here, the Basche family contributed to our classroom doing yoga with the kids, parent read, purchased wish list items, and did stop and drop. If you get a chance, please send your goodbyes, love, and exchange contact information. Please stay in touch with the Basche family to help Livia's transition be smooth.
Thank you all for practicing rainbow words with your child. Many students are reading and moving forward quickly. This is a mini milestone and exciting accomplishment :)
I added books on our wish list for Writers Workshop unit - Authors as Mentors. We will be learning and studying from author, Mo Willems. You may like to check out books at the library, purchase his app (you can make books on it), donate books to the class (on our wish list), research and learn more about him as an author at home. He's definitely a favorite with the kiddos.
Thank you awesome parents!
