Class of 2020 Celebrations Update
Seniors - Important Learn Account Informaiton
Message from Mr. Branham
Congratulations on an amazing four years at Westlake High School. I am so proud of your class, the accomplishments you have earned, and the hard work you have put in to lay a solid foundation for future success. On behalf of all teachers and staff, we truly miss seeing you each day and we are working hard to provide the best opportunities to recognize and celebrate your accomplishments with the current health and safety requirements that are in place related to COVID-19.
Below is a summary of events that are scheduled to celebrate the Class of 2020. I am excited to announce that in partnership with the Conejo Valley Unified School District and Thousand Oaks Police Department we are coordinating a drive up diploma ceremony!
Please know that if guidelines from the county and state related to large gatherings change, WHS and CVUSD will adjust current plans accordingly. We have received inquiries about hosting a formal graduation at a later day, however we will not have access to all senior students after June. Many graduates will soon leave for post-secondary opportunities including military assignments, summer internships, mission trips, employment opportunities and/or relocating for college/university admissions. We have an obligation and desire to honor all of our graduating seniors. However, if and when conditions permit, we will explore the possibility of bringing our seniors back for their Senior Picnic or another similar social event. For now, I am rolling out plans that apply to our current reality. For reference please find the most recent "Safely Reopening Ventury County" Public Health Officer order from May 7th here.
Please review all of the Class of 2020 celebration and activity information. #OneTribe
