Before the Interview

Research the company and know the position you are hiring for.

Know what questions they are going to ask you and be prepared for what you are going to say.

Know at least 2 questions to ask when the interview is over.

Greet the employer with a firm handshake.

Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.

Bring an extra copy of your resume.

5 Common Interview Questions

  • Tell me about yourself?

Be specific and specify what strengths and qualities fit that job.

  • Why should we hire you?

Show what you know about the job and specific details about it.

  • What is your greatest strength?

Relate your most impressive success story to what you are going to be doing and take advantage of it.

  • What is your greatest weakness?

Show that you are aware of your weakness ad show what you have done to overcome it.

  • Why do you want to work here?

Talk about specific things you like about the company. Be complimentary with people.

Give them another firm handshake.

Thank them for their time of listening about what you have to say.
Send them a thank you note in the mail.

Dress for the Interview

Always dress one step above or hire of what they would for the job.

Never wear jeans and just at-shirt look nice.

Don't wear anything to bright

Interview Don'ts

Don't take your cell phone in with you.

Don't act nervous and play with your hands or anything around you.

Don't freeze up or be sloppy.

Don't focus more on the perks then on the job.

Don't go in not knowing what you are applying for and what is on your resume.
