Dear Parents & Students,
HSI-Sugar Land College Counseling Team would like to invite all the Senior students, their parents, teachers and anyone else to our Senior Boot Camp (12th Grade) in room # 213 2nd floor.

Participants: Senior Students (12th Grade) and Parents
HSI-Sugarland College Counseling Team along with teachers and the admin team leads the students in preparing for various aspects of their senior year. These items include but are not limited to the college planning and application process. This program provides critical and timely support, encouragement and guidance to seniors as they continue to shape and plan their college going experience. Through a year-long series of workshops, along with consistent guidance, mentoring and support, students are best able to navigate the often-daunting college and scholarship application process.

Attention Parents/Guardians
Parents and families are invited to attend HSI - Sugar Land’s annual Title I Parent and Family Engagement Meeting on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 8:00 AM. Please see the attached invitation for more information.
Following the meeting, PTO will host their first gathering of the school year starting at 9:00 AM. Parents interested in joining are encouraged to come.
MAP TESTING September 10-28
Dear Parents/Guardians,
MAP testing is scheduled for September 10 through September 28. Students in grades 9 and 10 will take Reading and Language the week of September 10 and Math the week of September 17. Make-ups will be the week of September 24.
PSAT Wednesday, October 10
Students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 10. The campus will be closed that day to visitors and parents, including lunch drop-offs, until after testing. On the day of the exam, students need to arrive to school on time and have a #2 pencil, eraser, and an approved calculator. Please read the attached PSAT parent letter for more information.

SPIRIT JACKET ORDER ANNOUNCEMENT
Great opportunity to order your HSI-Sugar Land Spirit Jacket. The red and royal blue jackets come with our school logo lettering and mascot.
The jacket costs $35.00. For $5.00 extra, you can have your name printed on the back of the jacket. NO NICKNAMES. If you order a 2XL or 3XL, there will be a $3.00 extra cost.
Please see Coach Roark for jacket sizing.
Full payment is to be made in the front office. You may use a credit card or check with driver's license on the check.
Deadline to place a jacket order will be Wednesday, September 26
