William Crookes

William Crookes was born on June 17, 1832. He studied at the Royal college of chemistry. Then he became superintendent of the meteorological section at Radcliffe Observatory. He also invented many devices to help study behavior of cathode rays. Crookes also discovered the element Thallium and the fourth state of matter.
