If your currently enrolled Hollow Hills student has a younger sibling starting Kindergarten in August of 2024 (child must turn 5 on or before September 1, 2024), and you plan on that child attending Hollow Hills, you can pick up a registration packet beginning Monday, November 27th. Packets can be picked up by a parent or guardian in the office beginning at 8:30 AM that day. Parents/Guardians will be asked to fill out a short google form to receive the packet.

All sibling enrollment paperwork is due by 3:00 PM on December 20, 2023.

Kindergarten Lottery applications will be available beginning at 8:30 AM on January 8 through January 19, 2024.

Applications must be picked up in person and cannot be emailed. Applications are due back to the Hollow Hills office by 3:00 PM on Friday, January 19th. Lottery applications cannot be submitted to both Hollow Hills and Vista. You must choose just one fundamental school to apply to. Children applying for the lottery must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 and must be a Simi Valley resident.

Tour/Information sessions will be held in the Hollow Hills MPR on the following dates:

• Monday, December 11th at 9:00 AM
• Monday, January 8th at 9:00 AM
• Tuesday, January 16th at 9:00 AM
• Wednesday, January 17th at 5:00 PM

As of Friday, Golden Bears have donated 4, 510 items!! You are AMAZING!

Our school goal is 6,000 items. We need 1, 490 items to be donated on Monday to meet our goal.

Winning Class will earn an extra recess! A-2 is currently in the lead!

When we meet our school goal, Mrs. Godfrey will be dressing up in a silly, Thanksgiving theme costume and host a special dance party!! Let's go Golden Bears!

It is that time of year, freezing in the morning and warm in the afternoon. You send your kid(s) to school with a jacket in the morning and the come home without it. GOOD NEWS!! The jacket, along with the water bottle, lunch box, hat, sweatshirt, and all the other things that have gone missing, are likely to be found in the MPR! The Lost and Found is over flowing with items!

Please take some time over the next two weeks to stop by the MPR to find the lost items. Despite appearances, the MPR is open. You can access the MPR through the side door. Please let the campus supervisor know you need to check the lost and found and they will direct you.

We are running out of room to store these items. Although we usually wait to donate items not claimed until December but due to the volume of items and lack of space, items will be donated after 11/17.

All students can receive free breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria. Menus will be posted weekly in this newsletter. However, menus are subject to change so families are encouraged to check the website directly.

Breakfast is served from 7:40am - 8:05am.

Meals for November: The November Dinner Site Calendar is linked here. Meals are available to all families in need. Samaritan Center also serves breakfast and lunch. Families can use their showers as well but need to meet with a caseworker at Samaritan Center to set this up.

Food Pantries: Samaritan Center and Still Waters Cafe continue to serve as our local food pantries. There is also a food pantry in Moorpark.
