* If you read my last newsletter, you know that I was supposed to spend last Friday with my daughters. Well, they ditched me for friends and I spent the evening painting bedrooms and staining furniture. Hopefully your weekend was better than mine. 😉 This weekend I'm not taking any chances and I'll be calling the shots. On Sunday, I'll be enjoying the #4 ranked Buckeyes basketball team as they take on TTUN.
Enjoy the weekend.
Andy

GMS Conferences
The first night of winter parent/teacher conferences will took place on Thursday, February 18th. These conferences are a way to further communication and support for students, and strengthening the partnership between GMS and home. For middle school conferences, we do not meet to discuss every student, but rather those that the school team feels would need additional pieces of support or for those students whose families have reached out with a need to conference. Team leaders will reach out directly to any student's family they would like to request a meeting with. If you wish to request a time slot, please work with the team leader to schedule a time that works for both parties. Please see the schedule below fo nights and times.
* Wednesday, February 24 from 4-7:30 (RLA only, this is a Karrer conference night, however since many of our RLA staff teach in both environments, we are sharing this event with KMS)
* Thursday, March 4th from 3:30 - 7:00 (Hybrid and RLA students)

About Girl Up:
Girl Up partners with the United Nations foundation to advocate for the rights of adolescent girls in developing countries. At Dublin Jerome Girl Up, we strive to empower girls in their pursuit of adequate education, leadership opportunities, safety, and balanced mental and physical health. Due to the pandemic, our agenda has broadened to impact those locally including every child, not just girls, in their pursuit of adequate education. Therefore, we are sponsoring a homework help program for every student at each of the four Dublin middle schools. In doing so, we will be providing each student with the help and support they need to thrive in the classroom.
In light of changing circumstances due to Covid-19, please be advised that we may be required to switch our available Meet times. If this should occur, an email will be sent out about our new meeting times or days through your home school’s guidance counselors.
If you would like to learn more about Girl Up, please visit the Girl Up website or contact Teresa Troyer, the advisor for DJHS Girl Up, or Caroline Gross, President of DJHS Girl Up. Their contact information is listed below.
