Winter Concert Bake Sale
Calling all McKinley bakers and treat makers! The PTO will be hosting a bake sale THIS FRIDAY, 12/13, during the 4th and 5th Grade Winter Concert. We need cookies, brownies, and treats of all kinds. Items can be homemade or purchased. Please have your items pre-packaged and ready to sell and labeled with any allergy information (for example, Contains Nuts or Gluten Free). Please consider donating something delicious to help the PTO raise money to support PTO sponsored events. Items can be dropped off at the table outside the office on Thursday, 12/12, or Friday, 12/13, in the morning. See the link below to signup. If you have any questions, please contact Lori Brandenburg at Crashburg@yahoo.com.
Sign Up HERE to let us know your bringing a treat!
Lost and Found
With all the upcoming holiday classroom parties and winter concert, please take a moment to peruse the lost and found just outside the cafeteria. The early winter weather seems to have nearly doubled the number of lost items. Many boots, gloves, jackets, hoodies, etc. Please take a look by Winter Break starting on December 21 as the items will be collected shortly thereafter and will be washed and donated to a local social service agency.
Secret Holiday Workshop Was a Success!
The Secret Holiday Workshop was a success again this year...Thank You!! Our grand total was $1,093.00! Again, all of the money goes to help support a family in need this Christmas through Tosa Cares. So proud of McKinley and the Tosa community for helping to make the holidays a little brighter for this Tosa family!
Special thanks goes to the following: Jean Hoffmann, Greg Hausinger, Charlotte Garder, Terri Uden, Mr. Roloff, Ms. Daily and her talented musicians for providing the beautiful holiday music. The Daisy, Brownie and Girl Scout leaders, troops and families along with McKinley Messengers and families for helping bake all the delicious items for our bake sale, setting up and/or volunteering their time running the bake sale, raffle table, Secret holiday shopper station, gift wrap area or door greeter. The other McKinley parents that I would like to thank that were not part of the above group but still volunteered were: Katie Wick, Kayla Merker, Mike Hansen, Linda Schlender, Jacklyn Rynish, and Rhianon Bott.
On behalf of myself and Elise Hetzel, we THANK YOU again to all that made this year a success and we look forward to seeing everyone at next year's Secret Holiday Workshop! I hope you have a very happy and healthy Holiday season celebrating with your families and friends!
