Faculty Meeting Follow-Up-
District goal
One Goal one focus:
Improving student academic achievement.
“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan."- Tom Landry
Just as Tom Landry stated our daily planing helps us achieve our one goal-one focus. Using every minute every day enables us to stay with our plan.
As a school, all us are investing a great deal of effort and time to creating the plan. It is critically important to follow the plan with every child.
Because good enough never changed world. It is important to be great at planning for learning. The students depend on us as we expect them to be good children and good students with the potential to be great contributing citizens. They are the future!
It is critically important to use every minute by framing the lesson using frequent small group purposeful talk about learning, providing recognition and reinforcement and writing critically.
This weeks 4 things to do:
#1. Learning objectives (LO) have to be posted.
I have asked Ms Marston to help each grade level to standardized posting of learning objectives.
We are buying a poster maker to help with this initiative.
#2. Implement capturing kids hearts. Make sure that you are using your door greeter/ambassador. Your door should be locked and your greeter will answer the door. Ms Marston will be supporting this initiative.
#3. To help with before and and after school duties, PLC will begin at 8. 4th grade and 5th grade teachers will hold students after breakfast. 4th grade will keep students in the 4th grade hallway. 5th grade will be in the library. All other faculty will be getting assigned rotation duty. Ms. Jeffrey will distribute this schedule.
#4. Amy Clark presented Literacy Stations framework to provide structure for purposeful student work and talk. Four stations are expected to be in place this week.
Here is the powerpoint with really great ideas that can be useful to everyone with station implementation.

Thank you for all that you do!

Recycling
1- PAPER ONLY should go in the bin. If there is any food product in the bin, it ruins the entire bin. Do not put anything in the bin BESIDES paper. This includes soda bottles, etc. PAPER ONLY.
2- Mrs. Poor will be sending students around on to gather bins and empty them. If you need yours emptied prior to that day, please let Lauren or Mrs. Poor know so we can get it emptied.
