*Scholastic Book Order Code: JQ8XW under Miss Thomas still
The 6th graders are figuring out how junior high works and they seem to enjoy it so far. We have already started lit. circle groups, where they read a book with a group and have a discussion about the book on Friday. Week 2 is due next Friday. Check in to make sure they are reading. I do give them a few minutes in class almost every day.
We also had our first spelling unit and test this week. Spelling procedures were explained in class. They take a pretest Monday and whatever words they spelled incorrectly on Monday, they take on Friday. They have a spelling packet that they work on throughout the week.
I have lots of book order forms if anyone is interested in ordering books. You can order online at https://clubs.scholastic.com/. Our class code is JQ8XW and it’s under my maiden name Miss Thomas. Have a great weekend!Mrs. Lazewski

We played a fun review game on the Chromebooks called “Kahoot!” and took the Module 1 Quiz on Friday.
Next week we will move into Module 2: Factors and Multiples. We will learn the divisibility rules, try the Sieve of Eratosthenes, and solve for the GCF and LCM.
Have a great weekend!Mrs. Lois
