Come to Rhode Island!
Where the people are friendly & the religion is free!
Come celebrate a great economy!
There are plenty of jobs for everyone here in Rhode Island! The cold weather and short summers may prevent us from having large cash crop plantations like in the south, but we're a small colony and we get by just fine! We make our money by farming crops like corn, soy beans, and squash; as well as fishing, whaling, and ship building!
Roger Williams
Williams was thrown out of Massachusetts for religious reasons, so he founded Rhode Island for religious tolerance.
Anne Hutchinson
Hutchinson was shunned because she was a woman who spoke her mind, so she joined Williams in Rhode Island where she could have opinions.
King Charles II
In 1663, King Charles II granted the royal charter of Rhode Island, putting it under royal control.
Est. 1635
Founded in the New England region and settled by the British, Rhode Island shares land with Native Americans and allows people to practice Christianity in any form they choose without fear of persecution! Come and worship God without fear of death! Government is run in town meetings with three branches of government, so do not fear! Your opinion will be heard!
