Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,

I can’t believe it’s March already! Our staff and students have worked so hard to ensure learning occurs in every subject, every classroom, every day! Please take time to enjoy some vacation during our Spring Break, the week of March 13th through the 17th! As we return after Spring Break, I want to remind everyone that attendance is so very important. We are approaching the final testing season, where our students will take the last State assessment of the year, Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST). This is Progress Monitoring Session # 3 and we know our students will show a year’s worth of growth. Here are the dates that we need your child to be in attendance. Lastly, here is a website that you can take a practice assessment with your child to experience the FAST testing and help prepare your child.

Staff in the Spotlight

We have an amazing Office Manager and School Secretary Mrs. Debbie Hemby! She is the hub of the school, the historian, the grounding that we all need in our very busy days. She coordinates so many of our events and has the “just right information” no matter the question asked of her. She rarely misses a day and when she does we all feel her absence. She works hard every day to help parents, staff, and ultimately our students. We are so lucky to have her and she is the heart of Cypress!
