Special Invitation

You have been cordially invited to participate in a workshop with choreographer/instructor Miss Heather Foster. Miss Heather is well-known as a New Castle Dance and Music Academy Dance Instructor and Director of the nationally recognized NCDA Competition Team. She is also the choreographer and costume designer for an upcoming movie/film production, set for release in the fall of 2014. She is a professional judge for the internationally recognized Starpower Talent Competition and a certified dance instructor through Dance Educators of America. Heather has won multiple choreography awards, stand-out awards in Lyrical and Jazz genre, and many First place and High score awards. Her team is the Xcaliber Winners for DanceXplosion 2013. She has trained and molded dancers to reach their highest potential with exceptional opportunities, such as, college scholarships for dance majors, acceptance into the Rockettes summer intensive & Dance Olympics in Germany. Most recently, her Team has received an invitation from the AAPAE to dance at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Release Workshop Details

Have a blast at our energetic, fun filled, half-day workshop!!! This workshop is for the upcoming dancer, who is looking to take their skills to the next level. We will focus on how our body is built to move, technique to enhance skill level, dance for exercise and control of movements, with exciting and fun choreography! What to bring? Water bottle, and a healthy snack. You can even invite a dance friend!

What to wear? Proper dance attire: Leotard, tights, dance shorts and/or ballet skirt, all dance shoes, hair in a bun or tight ponytail (hair up and out of the face)

Who is eligible to come to the workshop? The beginner to intermediate student ages 6-12, not currently dancing competitively but looking to improve themselves and have fun with the a willingness to learn.

1:00 Welcome Warm-up and across the floor

1:45- Energetic Jazz Choreography

2:20- water break and change to tap shoes

2:30- Tap Technique and Choreography

3:15-water break and change to Ballet shoes

3:30- Ballet Barre, and Centre Floor

4:00- Brilliant Ballet Choreography

4:30 - Finale- Time to perfect my moves in all dances!!!
