RCMS NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY PRESENTS

POETRY IN HONOR OF MARTIN LUTHER KING

RCMS GRADE 7 - Hayley Chen

Martin Luther King had a dream

Where everyone would work together as a team

Many people were getting mistreated so MLK went and lead

Many marches where he said -

He wanted hatred to someday cease

Martin Luther King wanted peace

MLK fought for civil rights

Under the pressure of all the lights

Equal rights for all was the dream

We all sing of Martin Luther King

RCMS - GRADE 8 Remember His Legacy - Kamille Richards

Martin Luther King Jr. is an inspiration

But in our current world, it's been a devastation

How do we stand up against for racism

We don't know the truth in our first generation

Martin Luther King Jr. has lead us through change

We learned together to remember his name

He is a role model to all people

Now it's our turn to treat everyone as equal

So let's stand up and be united

By hearing this poem, well feel enlightened

For today, tomorrow, our future will be bright

So lets make sure we will get this right

RCMS -GRADE 8 Anson Nguyen and Huy Hoang

MLK was a man who connected our nation

His actions prevented segregation

He united two separated races

Putting a smile on everyone's faces

A man who used powerful words

To help us fly like a flock of birds

He delivered a striking speech

That gave us hope within reach

His impact

Empowered

Everyone
